Module 7
What do you feel has been the most useful thing you will take away from this course?
I have learned about many differnt sites and how I am able to incorporate them in my lesson.
Do you think you will plan units that follow a similar format to this one in the future?
I really enjoyed using this format when we were planning for our unit it was easy and we were able to differentiate the lesson to meet the needs of all students. I also like the idea that students are given the opportunity to solve real life problems.
Is there anything else you hope to learn from this course before it is completed?
I have leraned so much from this course, I hope to learn more about other sites and how to create projects by using technology.

This module has helped me think about self-directed learners and the role of differentiation in the following ways….
I learned the importance of how children learn different ways. I would normally use a lot of visuals during my instrution but not all chi;dren are visual lerners. This year I have a visual impaired students in my class so I have to incluse all types of learning styles.

This module has helped me think about student-centered assessment in the following ways…. I have learned different assessments to use in my classroom. I have recently used graffiti to pre-assess my students. I have also used teacher and student created rubrics. Students are engaged and know what it is expected form them.

How can technology be used most effectively to support and assess student learning?
technology is a great way to allow students to create a project to show their understanding. One way I incorporated technology was by allowing my students use kidspiration to label the steps of the life cycle of a pumpkin. I showed a rubric to allow students to visualize what the project should look like. Students knew what grade they were going to recieve by looking at our rubric.

This module has helped me to think about using standards, CFQ's, or formative assessments in the following ways...
I learned about several formative assessments and how they help us differentiate students work based on the information we gather. I am also able to use these assessments to modify and validate my instruction. When planning I incorporate CFQ's to allow students to reflect and evaluate during the lesson. Students created writing journals to reflect on the Life Cycle of Pumpinks unit and they wrote on their desk with water makers to draw all they new about pumpkins. Children enjoyed doing this and it was a great way to assess them.

This module has made me think about my role as an instructional designer in the following ways..
This module has made me think about new ways to engage students in their learing. Giving students real life events and scenarios to solve problems is more meaningful to them. PBL gives children to opprtunity to explore in cooperative groups and find solutions together. Instead of giving them the solution to the problem students explore together and explain how they solve the problem.
